The USS Indianapolis, commanded by Captain Charles Butler McVay III, carried 1,195 personnel on a top-secret mission to deliver components of the atomic bomb “Little Boy” to Tinian on July 16, 1945. Minutes after midnight on July 30, 1945, the ship was struck by torpedoes from a Japanese submarine and sank quickly. Only 316 crew members survived after four harrowing days at sea, enduring extreme exposure, burns, dehydration, and shark attacks.
Obverse (Heads): Depicts the USS Indianapolis with 10 battle stars, framed by a riveted border. Inscriptions read “USS INDIANAPOLIS CA-35” and “1932–1945.”
Reverse (Tails): Illustrates survivors clinging to a raft, offering each other support as they spot a rescue plane or spotlight from the USS Cecil J. Doyle, symbolizing hope. Inscriptions include “1195 SAILED,” “316 SURVIVED,” and “ACT OF CONGRESS 2018.”

No. We only ship within the United States, including P.O. Boxes. We do not ship to U.S. territories or internationally. If you want to export your order, select Bank Wire Transfer as the payment method and you can have your order shipped to a freight forwarder or agent of your choosing.
