Greg LeMond Bronze Medal – Commemorating a Cycling Pioneer
This 3-inch bronze medal honors Greg LeMond, a trailblazer in professional cycling and a respected figure for his athletic excellence, advocacy, and leadership in the community. It is a replica of the prestigious Congressional Gold Medal presented in his name.
LeMond made history in 1986 by becoming the first American and non-European to win the Tour de France, showcasing incredible endurance and strategy on legendary climbs like the Alpe d’Huez, and finishing with a commanding lead. He went on to reclaim the title in 1989 and 1990, cementing his legacy in the sport.
Front (Obverse):
The front of the medal features Greg LeMond in racing motion, with the Arc de Triomphe in the backdrop—symbolizing his Tour de France victories. The design is inscribed with:
“TOUR DE FRANCE,” “GREG LEMOND,” and the years 1986, 1989, 1990.

Back (Reverse):
The reverse displays a globe textured like road pavement, encircled by a pattern of bicycle chain links. It includes the inscriptions “WORLD CHAMPION” with the years 1979, 1983, 1989, along with one of LeMond’s well-known quotes:
“IT DOESN’T GET EASIER – YOU JUST GET FASTER.”

Yes! All shipments from United Patriot Coin are fully insured while in transit. Once a package is marked as delivered or signed for, insurance coverage ends.

Yes, if your order is over $500, a signature is required. For your convenience, orders under $500 do not require a signature.
4. When will I receive my order?
Orders ship once payment clears. Some payments (like checks) have hold periods. Standard shipping time, for start to finish, is about 7-10 days.
5. Do you ship to P.O. Box addresses?
Yes, via USPS only. Be aware that insurance ends once delivery is confirmed.
6. Do you ship internationally?
No. We only ship within the United States, including P.O. Boxes. We do not ship to U.S. territories or internationally. If you want to export your order, select Bank Wire Transfer as the payment method and you can have your order shipped to a freight forwarder or agent of your choosing. The international portion of the delivery will remain your responsibility.
