Greg LeMond Bronze Commemorative Medal – Honoring an American Cycling Legend
This bronze medal is a replica of the Congressional Gold Medal presented to Greg LeMond, celebrating his outstanding contributions as a world-class cyclist, outspoken advocate, inspirational figure, and civic leader.
LeMond made history in 1986 by winning the Tour de France, conquering iconic stages like the Alpe d’Huez and securing victory with a lead of over three minutes—becoming both the first American and the first non-European to claim cycling's most prestigious title. He went on to win the race again in 1989 and 1990, solidifying his place in the sport’s elite.
Obverse (Front) Design:
The front of the medal showcases Greg LeMond racing in full stride with the Arc de Triomphe in the background—a symbol of his Tour de France triumphs. It includes the inscriptions:
“TOUR DE FRANCE,” “GREG LEMOND,” and the winning years “1986, 1989, 1990.”

Reverse (Back) Design:
The reverse displays a textured globe, reminiscent of a road surface, symbolizing the global reach of cycling. Encircling the globe is a bicycle chain motif, along with the inscriptions:
“WORLD CHAMPION,” “1979, 1983, 1989,” and a motivational quote attributed to LeMond:
“IT DOESN’T GET EASIER – YOU JUST GET FASTER.”

Yes, if your order is over $500, a signature is required. For your convenience, orders under $500 do not require a signature.
4. When will I receive my order?
Orders ship once payment clears. Some payments (like checks) have hold periods. Standard shipping time, for start to finish, is about 7-10 days.
5. Do you ship to P.O. Box addresses?
Yes, via USPS only. Be aware that insurance ends once delivery is confirmed.
6. Do you ship internationally?
No. We only ship within the United States, including P.O. Boxes. We do not ship to U.S. territories or internationally. If you want to export your order, select Bank Wire Transfer as the payment method and you can have your order shipped to a freight forwarder or agent of your choosing. The international portion of the delivery will remain your responsibility.
