Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. & Coretta Scott King Bronze Medal – 3 Inch

This 3-inch bronze medal is a faithful replica of the Congressional Gold Medal posthumously awarded to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. It honors their extraordinary leadership in the civil rights movement and their enduring impact on American society. Crafted to match the original gold medal in both diameter and thickness, this piece stands as a lasting tribute to two of the most influential voices for justice and equality.

Obverse (Front):
Features detailed portraits of Dr. King and Coretta Scott King. Beneath them, a flowing banner bears the words “For Their Service to Humanity.” Their names appear along the top edge, with the additional inscription “Act of Congress 2004” marking the formal recognition of their contributions.

Reverse (Back):
Showcases an image of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change in Atlanta—a lasting legacy and a living monument to Dr. King's vision of nonviolent activism and equality for all. Below the center is a meaningful quote reflecting his ideals, while a laurel wreath frames the lower half, symbolizing honor and peace.

A National Tribute to a Lasting Legacy:
This medal was awarded to commemorate the achievements and impact of the Kings, including:

Dr. King’s philosophy of nonviolent resistance in the fight against racial segregation and injustice.

His leadership in the 1963 March on Washington, where he delivered his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech.

His ultimate sacrifice—assassinated in 1968 for championing civil and human rights.

Coretta Scott King's early and lifelong commitment to the movement, beginning with the Montgomery Bus Boycott in 1955.

Her visionary work in founding and building the King Center, preserving and advancing her husband's legacy.

Her pivotal role in the successful campaign to establish Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a national holiday.

This medal is more than a collector's item—it is a powerful symbol of the courage, sacrifice, and enduring influence of two leaders whose lives transformed a nation.
