About Nina Otero-Warren
Nina Otero-Warren was a pioneering advocate for women’s suffrage, education, and equality for Hispanic and Native American communities in New Mexico. As the first female superintendent of Santa Fe public schools, she championed bicultural education and fought to preserve her State’s rich cultural heritage. Otero-Warren also made history as the first Hispanic American woman to run for Congress.
Design Details
This exquisite ornament is hand-crafted in solid brass with a rhodium finish and features intricate design elements inspired by Otero-Warren’s life and legacy. The Yucca flowers, New Mexico’s state flower, symbolize her deep cultural roots, while the ballot box represents her groundbreaking suffrage activism. The ornament’s color palette draws inspiration from the National Woman’s Party ratification flag, paying tribute to her tireless fight for women’s rights.
At its center is a 2022 Nina Otero-Warren quarter, depicting her flanked by three Yucca flowers. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “QUARTER DOLLAR,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “NINA OTERO-WARREN,” and “VOTO PARA LA MUJER,” the Spanish translation of “Votes for Women.” The obverse (heads) design is not visible. A matching ribbon is attached for elegant display.

Yes! All shipments from United Patriot Coin are fully insured while in transit. Once a package is marked as delivered or signed for, insurance coverage ends.

Yes, if your order is over $500, a signature is required. For your convenience, orders under $500 do not require a signature.
4. When will I receive my order?
Orders ship once payment clears. Some payments (like checks) have hold periods. Standard shipping time, for start to finish, is about 7-10 days.
5. Do you ship to P.O. Box addresses?
Yes, via USPS only. Be aware that insurance ends once delivery is confirmed.
6. Do you ship internationally?
No. We only ship within the United States, including P.O. Boxes. We do not ship to U.S. territories or internationally. If you want to export your order, select Bank Wire Transfer as the payment method and you can have your order shipped to a freight forwarder or agent of your choosing. The international portion of the delivery will remain your responsibility.
