The Austria 100 Corona was one of the earliest coins marketed to individual gold bullion buyers as demand for owning gold accelerated through the 1960’s. At the time, it was still illegal for Americans to own gold bullion. However, gold coins with collectible interest (as defined by the government to be coins dated before 1933) were legal to own. The Austrian Government took advantage of this loophole and re-struck the Austria 100 Corona with a 1915 date (1908 on the Hungarian version) making them legal to import into the United States. The 100 Corona enjoyed great popularity throughout the 1970’s gold bull market; though lost share particularly to the South Africa Krugerrand after 1974 when the U.S. removed restrictions on private ownership of gold.
1. Is my package insured during shipping?
Yes! All shipments from United Patriot Coin are fully insured while in transit. Once a package is marked as delivered or signed for, insurance coverage ends.
2. What happens if my package is lost in transit?
Contact us immediately. We will help you communicate with the carrier to recover your package.
3. Will I need to sign for my package?
Yes, if your order is over $500, a signature is required. For your convenience, orders under $500 do not require a signature.
4. When will I receive my order?
Orders ship once payment clears. Some payments (like checks) have hold periods. Standard shipping time, for start to finish, is about 7-10 days.
5. Do you ship to P.O. Box addresses?
Yes, via USPS only. Be aware that insurance ends once delivery is confirmed.
6. Do you ship internationally?
No. We only ship within the United States, including P.O. Boxes. We do not ship to U.S. territories or internationally. If you want to export your order, select Bank Wire Transfer as the payment method and you can have your order shipped to a freight forwarder or agent of your choosing. The international portion of the delivery will remain your responsibility.
